Balanced Growth That Strengthens Windsor

Ken Symsack’s approach to responsible growth centers on thoughtful planning that balances the needs of Windsor District 4 residents with the town’s long-term sustainability. Windsor is growing, and that growth needs careful management. Development should strengthen our community, not strain it. That means ensuring our infrastructure (roads, water systems, parks, and access to the trail system) keeps pace with new housing and commercial projects.

Ken supports development that provides housing options families can afford while preserving the neighborhoods and open spaces that make Windsor special. Growth decisions should be based on data: What’s the real impact on traffic? Can our water supply handle it, and are we actively securing Windsor’s long-term water future through NISP, CBT shares, and smart acquisitions like Mayflower? Are we getting a fair return for taxpayers?

Most importantly, Ken believes District 4 residents deserve a voice in decisions that affect their neighborhoods. Before major development votes, he’s committed to listening to concerns, asking tough questions about long-term costs, and ensuring transparency in the process. Just as he’s done since joining the board in July 2024, Ken prioritizes constituent feedback and data-informed decision-making.

Windsor’s character is worth protecting. Ken’s approach is simple: growth must pay for itself, water must be secured before we need it, and District 4 residents deserve a seat at the table, not just a notice in the mail. The goal is straightforward: make Windsor a place where families want to live, businesses want to invest, and our kids want to come back to.
